Crankcase Breather Valve/ Oil Separater Om647 only
If you have an excessive amount of oil in your turbo system, then this valve is probably malfunctioning. It's job is to collect the hot gases that are coming out of the crankcase and separate the oil from the gases, allowing the oil to re-enter the engine and the hot gases that are now free of oil to enter the Turbo System. When this unit fails, the oil does not get separated from the gases and enters the intake system. This can cause premature failure of the turbo hoses, problems with your EGR valve, and oftentimes creates a lot of oily residue all over the engine that attracts dirt. These are the original, OEM units.
